SHRI GURUCHARITRA-Chapter 18

 
In the previous post,you read a brahmin was very well known for his knowledge in vedas and shastras.He got a son who was dull and foolish.Local people commented him, your father was a learned man but you are foolish,your life is worthless.At this he became upset and went to forest.He thought of  giving up his life and he cut his tongue and placed before goddess and prayed if  you dont be kind with me, i shall offer you my head.That night goddess came in his dream and asked him to go to Guru who was sitting under audumber tree.She told him guru will fulfill all your desires.He rolled  at guru's feet and was blessed to attain knowledge.The moral is one who touches guru's feet will acquire all knowledge.To read previous posts, Click the links below:
