 Happy Thursday Readers!!!In the previous post you read, a poor brahmin got wealth with guru's blessings.Whenever he didn't get sufficient corn,he lived on boiled sem.Once he invited shri guru for alms.Shri guru blessed him saying that your poverty will be wiped off.While leaving his premise,Shri guru cut the stem of sem creeper.Seeing this the brahmin's wife wept bitterly saying our means of livelihood is lost.Brahmin consoled him saying, there must be some good of Guru.Brahmin took away the leaves and while digging he found a vessel full of coins.Brahmin and his wife felt really happy and they went to shri guru for worshipping him.To read the previous posts, Click the links below:

SHRI GURUCHARITRA-Chapter 18

 

In the previous post,you read a brahmin was very well known for his knowledge in vedas and shastras.He got a son who was dull and foolish.Local people commented him, your father was a learned man but you are foolish,your life is worthless.At this he became upset and went to forest.He thought of  giving up his life and he cut his tongue and placed before goddess and prayed if  you dont be kind with me, i shall offer you my head.That night goddess came in his dream and asked him to go to Guru who was sitting under audumber tree.She told him guru will fulfill all your desires.He rolled  at guru's feet and was blessed to attain knowledge.The moral is one who touches guru's feet will acquire all knowledge.To read previous posts, Click the links below:

 

SHRI GURUCHARITRA Chapter 17

 

In the previous post,you read the greatness of shri guru.A brahmin came to shri guru and said i am doing penace but my mind is not still.Kindly tell me means to attain knowledge.He further said i had a guru.He used harsh words and didn't teach me grammer,logic,etc.I left him in anger.Shri guru said you are a fool, How you can attain knowledge if you speak ill of your guru.Shri guru further told three instances of pure devotion to guru.Brahmin bowed before guru and shri guru placed his palm on brahmin's head and instantly he had knowledge of shastras.Click the links below to read previous posts:

In the previous post, you read a brahmin named "sayamdeo" was serving as a officer of muslim ruler.He came to river for bath and bowed to shri guru and expressed the condition of a muslim king.He told his ruler had food after one month and had severe colic pain.If he dies,shall i not be held resposible for his death.Shri guru gave him medicine and blessed.Sayamdeo invited shri guru for meal.You also read how a cruel muslim king favours sayamdeo.He told Shri guru, how a muslim king invites brahmin every year and kills him.He invited me this year.If i will go to him, he will kill me, but how he dare to kill me if i have seen you.Shri guru told him to go fearlessly.Shri guru said he will recieve you well and send you back to me.He then went to king and returned to shri guru.To read previous posts in detail, Click the links below:
